Ever since it was founded, the Higher School of Economics has been distinguished by its openness to the outside world, something exceptional among Russian universities; this outdoor festival in Gorky Park was yet further proof of this. For the first time ever, not only potential students and their parents, but literally anyone, could learn first-hand about the HSE, listen to lectures by leading HSE professors and guest speakers, and most importantly, see with their own eyes who 'populates' this university.
