Strengthening Cooperation between BRICS Countries in Research
From June 24-25 Professor Mariano Laplane, President of the Center for Strategic Studies and Management in Science, Technology and Innovation (CGEE), Brazil, was on a two-day visit at the HSE. As a result, an Agreement of Understanding was signed, which defined the areas for further cooperation between the Center and the HSE.
ICEF and LSE Sign Agreement for Next Four Years
On June 24, 2013, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), represented by ICEF Project Director from the LSE Richard Jackman, and the HSE, represented by First Vice Rector Vadim Radaev, signed an agreement on the activities and development of the HSE’s International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) for the next four-year period. The second day of the XIV HSE April Conference started with a plenary session on ‘Institutions and New Social Policy’. Problems of education, healthcare, and the labour market were discussed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, HSE Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov, the Russian Minister of Education and Science Dmitri Livanov, Professor Simon Marginson of the University of Melbourne, and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.
