The International Bachelor's in Business and Economics opened at HSE University-St Petersburg a year ago. Researchers from VTB and HSE University-St Petersburg have come up with an algorithm for predicting stock price fluctuations in the Russian market by analysing financial news. By making financial projections for next week (or month), the novel STTM (Stock Tonal Topic Modelling) algorithm can help investors build more effective financial strategies. The paper has been published in PeerJ Computer Science.

HSE University-St Petersburg Art and Design School and Hungarian Cultural Centre Open Joint Exhibition
HSE University-St Petersburg is hosting the exhibition 'From Hódmezővásárhely to Mosonmagyaróvár: A Typographic Journey around Hungary'. The exhibition showcases lettering compositions devoted to ten Hungarian cities and created by students of the HSE University-St Petersburg Art and Design School. The opening ceremony was attended by the director of the Hungarian Cultural Centre and the science and technology attaché of the Embassy of Hungary in the Russian Federation.
