The HSE World Champion
Maxim Hivintsev, the student at the Higher School of Economics, is among winners of the Global Management Challenge Competition in Lisbon.
On April 23rd, 2009 the final round of the Global Management Challenge Competition took place in Lisbon, Portugal. The team from Russia, a mixed team, was the winner of this 2008 International Final. Maxim Hivintsev, the student at the Higher School of Economics, is among winners.
Russia joined this competition of strategy and management just 3 years ago and this is their first international victory.
In second place was Poland and in third Finland, their first participation. Portugal was represented by a team of young managers from Qimonda and took 8th place.
Besides the countries stated, the following teams competed for the world title: Angola, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Italy, Latvia, Macao, México, P.R.China, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom.
The Global Management Challenge has become a high profile and visible event in each of the 30 countries where it is held, adding prestige to the many participating organizations.
The International Final, where the winning teams of each country compete for the World Title, is a milestone and prestigious event, which provides a unique experience of contact between different cultures and the reality of competing at an international level.
