24 Countries Represented at 25th Yasin International Academic Conference Held by HSE University
The Programme Committee of the 25th Yasin (April) International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development has summed up the initial results. In 2025, 1,384 people from 24 countries and 29 Russian regions participated in the conference, with 335 of them delivering presentations.
This year, for the first time, the conference was held in a purely scientific format. The programme was also restructured around five academic themes: 'Economics', 'Human Capital and Society', 'Foresight Research, 'International Studies', and 'Instrumental Methods and Models in Management and the Social Sciences'.
Traditionally, the conference received many applications. This year, there were three applicants for every place available. Out of 1,035 applications, only 381 passed the scientific review process, resulting in an outcome of 335 presenters at the conference.
‘I would like to emphasise that many applications were quite interesting, but during the selection we adhered to the principles we always mention, namely: a clear description of the problem under consideration and the measure of its study, the designation of the research methodology and its main results, their validity and novelty,’ stated Fuad Aleskerov, Chairperson of the Programme Committee of the conference. ‘The criterion of compliance with the specified abstract length was no less important.
The diversity of affiliations in the programme was similarly an important factor. We are interested in opening the conference to various academic schools, including those from Russian regions and abroad.’
The conference doors were open to many. Thus, a total of 1384 people took part, of which 637 participated in sections and special events, and 747 were conference listeners. Among the participants were guests from 24 foreign countries and 29 Russian regions.
‘We would like to thank all those who applied and participated in the events. We feel that the discussions were top-notch and the Yasin (April) International Academic Conference maintained its status as one of the leading conferences in its segment. We are already working on organising the next conference, so keep an eye out for announcements and see you in spring 2026 at HSE University,’ announced Fuad Aleskerov.
